Dear Colleagues, 

The Russian-Bulgarian Forum «Prospects of Innovative Cooperation between Bulgaria and Russia» is to take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on October 8 - 10, 2008 as one of the utstanding events of the Year of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Bulgaria. «Design Bureau for Experimental Works» Closed Joint-Stock Company acts as the Forum organizer on behalf of the Federal Agency for Science and Innovations. National Union of Business-Angels of the Russian Federation (RUSSBA) Non-commercial Partnership and «Academ-Partner» Closed Joint-Stock Company act as the Forum coorganizers.

Goals and objectives of the Forum are as follows: to create conditions for enhancement and development of Russian-Bulgarian cooperation and sharing experience in the innovation area, improve the information/analytical support of manufacturing, presentation and promotion of competitive products of Russian enterprises in the Bulgarian market, strengthen business relation.

Business programme of the Forum is planned to be held in the format of conferences, seminars, round tables covering the following matters:

• Partnership between privately and state-owned entities in the area of innovations;
• Experience in establishment and development of national innovative systems. Prospects and problems;
• Practices used in Russia and Bulgaria to attract private capital into promising hi-tech companies. Venture funds, business angels and the State;
• Joint Russian-Bulgarian projects in the area of innovations.

The Forum programme provides for bilateral business meetings and presentations of Russian innovative products and technologies to be promoted in the Bulgarian market.

Please, notice that in the framework of the Year of Russia in Bulgaria, RUSSBA will make resentations of innovative projects in top-priority areas of scientific, technical and technological development in Varna on October 13 to 14, 2008.

You and your colleagues are invited to take part in the Forum as well as in the presentations of innovative projects and to give your proposals regarding participation of your company’s representatives in these events.

Participation in the events is free of charge. Travel by air, visa, hotel accommodation, transfers, tourist programme is at a participant’s expense.
